The Best San Diego Wedding of 2022 - The Fairmont Grand Del Mar Wedding.
The votes are in for the my best wedding of 2020. It was a tough race with all the amazing weddings I photographed but this one takes the cake. It was a luxurious wedding to say the least and the love between Naomi and Josh just amplified the beauty. There were so many beautiful moment to capture.
The getting ready photos was a wedding photographer's dream come true. And highlighting it was the gorgeous Ines Di Santos wedding dress. Just look at how elegant it is.
And the sophisticated groomsmen were no slacks for the getting ready photography
We utilized the upper entrance of the hotel by the classic water fountain before ceremony to get portraits and bridal party photographs. I got some bonus shots of Naomi along the way.
We shot early before guests arrived because Naomi and Josh wanted most of the the photography finished before ceremony so they could just enjoy their party after ceremony. The water fountain at the entrance of the hotel is iconic of The Grand Del Mar Wedding Venue. I took advantage to the large area to get formal group portraits of this large Bridal Party.
It is also a great location for the romantics and solo portraits.
Off to the Ketubah signing. In a Jewish wedding, there is a ketubah signing ceremony before the actual wedding where two witnesses sign the marriage contract. It usually takes place in a private room attended by the officiant, the wedding couple, the witnesses, close family and possibly a few dear friends. It’s considered a honor to be included in the ketubah signing ceremony. This can get very emotional!
The ceremony took place on the Aria Lawn. Celebrate during Southern California's sundrenched days or starlit nights on this sweeping open-air locale of close to 8,200 square feet, accentuated by a dramatic pavilion and views of the resort’s golf course and canyon preserve.
After ceremony we used the stairs of the pavillion to do the family formals. And then it was time for my favorite part, The Couple's Romantic Photographs.
The Reception was held at the Capella Chapel and it was chic.
