Well when little Evelyn turns 1 year old and her Aunt, Uncle and Cousin are in town from Portland, Oregon it's a great time for family photography. Jenna wanted to do something different from her family portraits at Jack's Pond 6 months ago and saw some portraits done by Scripps Pier. This is a great location but I wanted to give them some variety, more than just ocean, beach and pier backgrounds. So we started off the shoot at Scripps Seaside Forum. This area has a great variety of backgrounds.
From the rose garden: This area has benches and makes for the most magical background and of course little Evelyn was drawn to the beautiful flowers.
Right across the way is a well manicured mini amphitheater where I utilized the concrete steps to arrange the family. This area is great for large family group shots.
What's nice about this is everything thus far has been photographed within 50 yards of each other. Plus the beach access is right there as well. We got to the beach and I started off by getting all the combinations of family members.
Even the great grand parents came along for the fun. So much LOVE!
And for the grand finale we stepped underneath the pier for the classic Scripps Pier Portrait.
And as we were wrapping the shoot up because we thought we lost Evelyn's attention she started playing with balloons and I got these GEMS!
